Please update or download the latest version of HSBC Macau Mobile Banking App to activate Digital Secure Key. For security reason, currently we don't support any device that has been jailbroken or rooted.
Options to log on Online Banking
Digital Secure Key
Accessed via the HSBC Macau Mobile Banking App, the Digital Secure Key replaces your physical Security Device. A Digital Secure Key allows you to generate security codes from your mobile or tablet, so you can access your full range of mobile and online banking services.
Digital Secure Key is more convenient, more secure, and more environmentally friendly.
Security Device
A Security Device is a small electronic device that generates security codes. These codes allow you to access your online banking services securely.
To use the HSBC Macau Mobile Banking App, you will need to switch to Digital Secure Key when prompted to and your Security Device will be deactivated.
Activate security token
Step 1
Search "HSBC Macau" in app stores to download the HSBC Macau Mobile Banking App.
Step 2
Select the 'Send Activation Code' option to activate and verify.
Step 3
Select the 'Confirm and continue' option when you receive the on-screen prompt.
Step 4
Your Digital Secure Key will now be activated, and you'll receive an SMS confirmation.
Step 5
You can also enable biometric authentication today to make your online banking experience much easier.
Notes:
If you're new to mobile banking with HSBC and you're downloading the app for the first time, your Digital Secure Key will be activated automatically.
Generate security code
Step 1
Search "HSBC Macau" in app stores to download the HSBC Macau Mobile Banking App.
Step 2
Open the HSBC Macau Mobile Banking App (but don't log on). Select 'Generate Security Code' at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3
Select the appropriate option:
- Log on code
- Re-authenticate code
Step 4
Enter your 6-digit PIN or biometric authentication (if you've enabled it) to generate a security code.
* If you have entered an incorrect PIN, you will generate an incorrect security code.
Step 5
Your security code will be generated. Enter the code where it's requested on HSBC online banking.
